13:30 - "Putting yourself out there in your truest form - you're automatically not gonna be liked - but you're also going to find the people who love you."
hell yeah! - love this and totally agree - put out my first little video clip this past week and was bummed when folks started to exit the building - Do I stand behind the video? yes - was it me? yes - f bombs made you uncomfortable? SO sorry - and if that clip changed your mental model of me - buckle up! the exit is thatta way :) - while yeah being authentic isn't about unfiltered complaining or being brash - it's about recognizing as humans we have depths and multitudes and being unafraid to show all those sides without the preciousness of who you may or may not lose along the way.
Hey atom! Absolutely. And I liked the video you posted this past week! Is it for everyone? Nope! And that’s okay. I hope I see more videos from you putting yourself out there. I really love both your words and illustrations. Our world needs it. Let me know when you want to do a Substack live with me!☺️
Loved this conversation! I think one of the biggest ways we can overcome our fear of failure is refocusing our definition of success. As you mentioned, success isn’t being popular or loved by everyone. It is making a difference for one person—even if that one person is yourself through the learning experience.

Coach Mike (that's me) says "You learn more by striiking out than you do by hitting a home run."
Great video.
